The Hits is the first greatest hits album (fifth overall) by American R&B singer Kelis, released in the United States on March 11, 2008 by Jive Records, Zomba Label Group, and Legacy Recordings.
History
No new material is included on The Hits. It was originally going to be called Good Stuff - The Best of Kelis, however it was changed for unknown reasons. Despite its minor success, the album does not include the single "Blindfold Me". The Hits debuted at a relatively low number seventy-one on the UK Album Chart the week of March 15, 2008. This album is thought to be a last-minute attempt to make money from Kelis' previous works before she moves onto a new record label and releases a fifth studio album.[6]
