The Familiars is a series of children's fantasy books written by Adam Jay Epstein and Andrew Jacobson. The Familiars is an upcoming 3-D computer-animated feature film adaptation of the first book from the series.^[3] The film is being produced by Sony Pictures Animation, directed by Doug Sweetland and Fergal Reilly, and is scheduled for a 2014 release.^[4]
