The Familiars is a series of children's fantasy books written by Adam Jay Epstein and Andrew Jacobson. The Familiars is also the title of the first book in the series, featuring familiars, magical animal companions to a wizard or witch. Film

The Familiars is an upcoming 3-D computer-animated feature film adaptation of the first book from the series.[3] The film is being produced by Sony Pictures Animation, directed by Doug Sweetland and Fergal Reilly, and is scheduled for a 2014 release.[4]
