The Delightful Rogue is a 1929 early sound film romantic adventure produced and distributed by RKO Pictures. The film was directed by A. Leslie Pearce and features Rod La Rocque as a modern day pirate in the south seas. La Rocque had recently been playing pirates in a few of his last silent films. This film attempts to replicate the success of La Rocque's silent pirate movies using early sound equipment, the Photophone system. It is unclear if this film was released in a silent version even though intertitles appear in the sound print. [1] [2]
