Trevor Berwich, an unstable depressive, is convinced that his wife and best friend are having an affair; he takes the law into his own hands and ends up getting arrested by Sgt Stone. However, when Stone issues some harsh words to Trevor, he loses control of his sanity and kidnaps his baby, Leaving Stone to pick up the pieces.

The team investigate the rape of 16-year-old Janine Clark, who confesses to being raped by her boyfriend Mark Watts and his three friends. The boys are arrested and Jo thinks she can get a confession out of Greg Holbrook, the weakest of the boys. However, a number of threats to Janine encourage her to drop the charges, leaving Jo determined to find evidence to nail the four suspects.

Jo investigates a break-in at Ami Ryan's house and discovers the intruder Jeremy Preston has been stalking Ami and her boyfriend Josh. Jeremy's fingerprints are found on Ami's kitchen knife and when he is questioned about it, he makes an allegation that could rock Ami's world.

the team investigate the death of John Baker, who was killed after interrupting a burgaler. Max discovers John's wife Tnisha has been on a missing persons list for 20 years. He is convinced she is the culprit when new evidence comes to light and he digs deep into the Bakers personal affairs.

When a letterbomb is delivered to a high profile company, Stone intervenes and saves a trapped PA. the team realise company manager Alan Cooper is the target of a revenge plan and Alan leads them to Andrew Stevens, who was fired by Alan. the case takes a shocking twist when Stone discovers the culprit could be closer to home.

An ex police officer alerts Sun Hill when his young son is held at gunpoint by his drug addict mother, Jack is forced to let CO19 take over the case. Jo, fearing CO19 will go in "all guns blazing" tries to resolve the situation by befriending and protecting a desperate mother.

When he tries to save a women called Clarinda from her abusive boyfriend Tim, Stone ends up getting beaten up. Roger and Nate rush Stone to hospital and he quickly discharges himself and sets off back to Sun Hill to find his attacker. however, things take a deadly turn when Tim targets his estranged wife with petrol bombs.

the team attempt to stop a brawl in a local nightclub but they then discover the fight was a diversion for a robbery in the club. Stone arrests the man behind the fight but is left suspended when the thug accuses him of assault, and Jack is even more concerned for Sun Hill's reputation when Commander Kennedy is called in to investigate.

When Nate and Ben are shot at whilst on patrol, the teams investigation leads them to Malcom Cristie, a local businessman who's car was used as a getaway car. Smithy and Jo suspect Cristie was behind the shooting. however, new evidence links to Jasmine Harris, a local teenage tearaway who is also Malcoms ex girlfriend.

A traffic accident on the local estate results in the death of teenager Paul Sorrel. Investigating further, Jo and her team discover Paul was shot and the teenager who was ran over was black. Mickey turns to Jasmine Allen for help. Meanwhile, Max tries to outsmart Jo by takig over the investigation into the shooting.

Max is determind to find the gunman before Jo and her team do, he is convinced that Jasmine Allen is the key to nailing prime suspect Devon Marshall and goes to extreme lenghs to get the truth out of her, Much to Mickeys horror. Meanwhile, Jack is suspiciouse when Commander Kennedy arrives to investigate the uniformed team.
