Tallapudi (Telugu: తాళ్ళపూడి) is a coastal village and a mandal in West Godavari district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India, located on the bank of the Godavari River. Tallapudi is about 22KM from Rajahmundry and 14KM from Kovvur. Tallapudi is a hub for many of the surrounding villages for commercial purposes. Population of Tallapudi is about 55,000. Panoramic view of Godavari River, scenic beauty of Greenery around and the peaceful Godavari ghats attracts the Telugu film industry to shoot movies. Some of the industries are going to come up with their production units near Tallapudi, one of them is paper manufacturing industry being established by Whitefield Paper Mills Ltd. Agriculture is one of the main business and the place is well known for the cultivation of paddy and sugarcane, considerably best in production. Tallapudi is one of the famous places for its Godavari Pushkaram, which comes once in 12 years.
