The texaplex refers to the highly populated triangular region in Texas that is outlined by the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex in the north down to the Houston metropolitan area, over to San Antonio and Austin, Texas and that contains a vast majority of the state's population. It is sometimes used as an alternative to Texas Triangle or the term megalopolis, which is a chain of continuous metropolitan areas. [1]

The short video cites many economic and population statistics in Texas. Facts such as: 4 out of 5 Texans live in the Texaplex - Of all new jobs created in the US, half were in Texas. The video was freely distributed and shared across the web in an effort to counter act the bad economic news with the good news. [4]
