Terry Willers

Terry Willers (died 9 November 2011)[1] was a cartoonist considered one of Ireland's best known.[2] The National Library of Ireland holds his cartoons in its collections.[3]

He was born in Britain but lived much of his life in Ireland.[2] He also worked in Holland and several other countries.[3]

His cartoons featured on broadcast media (Hall's Pictorial Weekly, The Mike Murphy Show), and in publications such as the Sunday Independent, the Evening Herald and the Irish Farmers Journal.[4]

He was organiser of Rathdrum's international cartoon festival.[4]

Willers married Valerie and together they had two children: one son and one daughter. He died at the age of 76 in his County Wicklow home.[4][1]
