Teror is a Canarian municipality in the northern portion of the island of Gran Canaria in the Las Palmas province in the Canary Islands. Teror is a suburb of Las Palmas city. September 8 is the local festivity celebrating Virgen del Pino (virgin of the pine, patron of the Gran Canaria).

The municipality is named after the town of Teror, where the celebrations of the Virgen del Pino take place. More important for tourists (and locals) than the above given date is September 7th with a splendid procession. Mineral water is an important product of Teror, other economic activity is based on agriculture and crafts.

There's a weekly market (mercadillo) on Sundays, considered the best (most original) of Gran Canaria.
