Tenny Ten

UK rapper Tenny Ten (aka 10 Shott) has been described as a ‘21st Century Poet.’ Born into a musical family (mother was a backing vocalist for Culture Club and UB40 and his father a keyboard player for the rock bands Thin Lizzy, Magnum and Whitesnake) Tenny spent his formative years in recording studios, putting together his first track at the age of 8.

Under his original name of '10Shott,' Tenny fronted his first band 'Vicious Circle' with his twin Brother Jodi. Tenny's first mixtape album 'Bagged Out' received an unprecedented 5 star review from the top Urban magazine of the time Hip Hop Connection. His follow up solo venture 'Ghetto Brick Road' sold throughout Europe and was a critically acclaimed piece of work which reflected a hard street life which took no prisoners. HHC wrote: "If magical talent has any influence on success then 10Shott is the future of UK rap."

With Hip Hop in turmoil and gun crime threatening many live events, 10Shott re-named and re-grouped himself and set about working on a new style and sound to suit the massive changes he was noticing within the industry.

With a new label deal signed with ZYRecords and apprenticeship served, Tenny Ten continued with his uncompromising determination to shake the UK music scene and demonstrates with every single track that his artistry is predictably unpredictable.

Refusing to sell out and remaining true to his roots, Tenny's mixtapes are as raw and cutting edge as ever maintaining the reality and urban credibility that 10Shott built his first reputation on. Any doubters should listen to his 2011 'Freedom of Speech' work which totally underlines this fact.

Following on from Tenny’s last single success (Swaggnificent reached No.11 in the commercial Music Week club charts), Tenny’s forthcoming single ‘Let Your Hair Down’ is the first single taken from his hotly tipped debut album and is quite simply a club banger destined to rip the floors apart. On July 28 after just 4 weeks on the club promotion circuit, ‘Let Your Hair Down’ entered the Music Week commercial Pop charts at No. 33 and rose to No. 20 on August 4.

Produced and co-written with LA production team ‘Nuthin Under A Million’ N.U.M. (50 Cent, David Guetta, Hot Rod, Flo Rida, Fuego) and mixed by Steve (Eminem/Michael Jackson/50 Cent/Snoop Dogg/P!nk) Baughman, ‘Let Your Hair Down’ is currently being played on the LA circuit as well as in Milwaukee, Miami, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and across the UK. Tenny also performed ‘Let Your Hair Down’ at this years ‘Wireless Festival’ on July 1 in London's Hyde Park to rave reviews.

Tenny Ten has been relentless in his assault on the UK scene and with a stunning debut album and two singles to follow quickly on its heels, ‘Let Your Hair Down’ will mark the start of Tenny Ten’s doubtless rise to super stardom. Industry insiders are touting Tenny as the next big breakout UK urban star.
