Theodore Townsend Purdy (born August 15, 1973) is an American professional golfer.

Purdy was born in Phoenix, Arizona. He graduated from Brophy College Preparatory in 1992. He went to the University of Arizona as a finance major and was inducted into its Sports Hall of Fame in 2005. He has won one PGA Tour tournament, the EDS Byron Nelson Championship in 2005. He has also won on the Nationwide Tour and the Asian Tour.

In 2007 he finished just outside the top 125 on the PGA Tour money list, and lost full playing rights for the 2008 season.[1] He returned to the PGA Tour for 2009 through qualifying school and has maintained his card since.

Purdy started the Ted Purdy foundation, which donates to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, A Stepping Stone, and Arnold Palmer's Children's Hospital.

Purdy lives in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife, Arlene, and children, Sammy and Andie.
