Technikal

Technikal was born in Carshalton, UK. Now firmly established as one of the most respected and biggest selling artists in the world of Hard Dance/Trance, producing acclaimed Hardcore tracks alongside Hard Dance, as well as producing Electro and Psychedelic trance-tinged material.

Technikal first found his passion for dance music as a young teenager, and was inspired by his older brother to take up music production. Producing from the age of thirteen,[1] he got his first track signed at the age of seventeen[1] - and has gone on to sell hundreds of thousands of records across the globe. Since being discovered by Heat UK’s Spencer Freeland and Marc French in 2004, Technikal has worked with the likes of Lisa Lashes, Nick Sentience, Phil Reynolds, Steve Hill, and Rob Tissera.

He has played gigs over the past year as Tidy Weekender, Goodgreef vs Sundissential, Frantic, and a midnight set at HeatUK’s New Year’s Eve Party at Brixton Academy. Further afield he has played at Australia’s Progress and Masif, as well as the Impulz party in Holland.

Summer 2006 saw Technikal playing some of his biggest gigs yet. With Tidy vs Extreme Euphoria, Dance Valley and Creamfields having all been played, more studio dates are planned with the likes of Greg Brookman, Nick Sentience, Dougal and Gammer.

Since 2006, Alf has picked up the second best producer and remixer three years running;[1] "Which is still a great achievement for me" he states in an interview with Frenzy, "Saying that it would be great to pick up one of the above accolades next year!"

On the 15th November 2010, Technikal released his first album "Techtonik" on iTunes. The album is mostly consisted of his own work and remixes, but includes some tracks from other notable artists such as Guyver and Rodi Style [2]
