Tavant Technologies, Inc. is an IT Services and Solutions company that was founded in the year 2000 and is headquartered in Santa Clara, California.
Tavant is an ISO 27001, SAS 70 Type II certified and SEI-CMMI Level 4 organization.
Tavant has been recognized globally for its innovative solutions[1], people practices [2], growth and for its contribution to the open source forum.
History
Tavant Technologies was founded by Sarvesh Mahesh, Nita Goyal[3], Ashish Gupta and Aseem Mital on February 7, 2000. All four of them came from Amazon.com, which they had joined when Amazon acquired the shopping search engine company - Junglee Corp[4][5].
The company was incorporated in the state of Washington, USA as Haathi.com. Its name was changed to Tavant Technologies on March 23, 2001.
Timeline
- February 2000: Haathi.com incorporated. Located at 542 Lakeview Blvd # 5, Sunnyvale, CA 94086.
- November 2000: Incorporated in India, with headquarters in New Delhi.
- March 2001: Changes name to Tavant Technologies.
- February 2002: Shifts India headquarters to Bangalore.
- May 2003: Moves to a dedicated software development center in Bangalore - #12, CSRIE-II, Guava Garden, 5th Block, Koramangala, Bangalore 560 095.
- September 2003: Shifts global headquarters to 3101 Jay Street, Suite 101, Santa Clara, CA 95054.
- January 2005: Opens a development center in Noida.
- March 2006: Tavant Technologies India receives IS0 27001 certification.
- January 2007: Moves to a new, state-of-the-art software development center in Noida - D5, Sector 59, Noida - 201 307.
- April 2007: Wins Great Places to Work award.
- July 2007: Gets recognized as a Top 50 Mortgage Technology provider.
- August 2007: Wins the IDC-Dataquest Best IT Employer award.
- September 2008: Wins the IDC-Dataquest Best IT Employer award for the second consecutive year.
- November 2008: SiliconIndia features Tavant in its top 20 IT services companies list.
- April 2009: BusinessWeek recognizes Tavant as one of the top 25 unsung innovative companies globally.
- June 2009: Wins Best Companies to Work For award by Great Place to Work Institute and Economic Times. Placed #5 amongst IT companies.
- September 2009: Wins IDC-Dataquest Best IT Employer award 3 years in-a-row.
- April 2010: Completes 10 successful years of business

Tavant's Asia Pacific regional headquarters is in Bangalore.

Open Source Contribution
- InfraRED is a tool for monitoring performance of a J2EE application and diagnosing performance problems. It collects metrics about various aspects of an application's performance and makes it available for quantitative analysis of the application.[6]
Corporate Social Responsibility
- SMILE: This initiative includes teaching children at government-run schools, donating books, stationery, toys, etc. for children in these schools and organizing painting competitions for underprivileged children.[7]
- Socialway.com: An eco-friendly website in which you can form virtual communities in your neighbourhood to lend and borrow goods and services, earning ‘carbon points saved’ in return.[8][9]
