Tanganyicia is a genus of tropical freshwater snails with an operculum, aquatic gastropod mollusks in the family Paludomidae.[4]
It was prior to 2002 placed within Thiaridae.
Brown (1994)[5] has considered Tanganyicia rufofilosa as the only, but variable, species in the genus Tanganyicia.[5] Later, in 1999, there has been described another species.
