Tamori (タモリ?) is a Japanese celebrity. His real name is Kazuyoshi Morita (森田 一義 Morita Kazuyoshi?) and the screenname Tamori is an anagram of his surname. He was born on 22 August 1945 in Fukuoka City in Fukuoka Prefecture.

Along with Takeshi Kitano (Beat Takeshi) and Sanma Akashiya, he is one of the big three television comedians in Japan.

His most famous nationally-televised TV programme is called Waratte Iitomo! ("It's OK to laugh!"), which is a live TV show that has been broadcast every weekday at lunchtime since October 1982.

He is never seen without his trademark sunglasses. He has worn them even in period pieces (Jidaigeki), despite the story taking place in a historical setting.
