History

Formation and "The Machine"

TMTTM was formed in early 2009 by Jessie Martin (also known as Ylnez Payne) as an art project to explore his interest in ambient music and classical music. The project is actually ARG and a social experiment, using subliminal messages and secret codes to tell of a secret organization known as "The Machine". "The Machine" were a group of people (lead by TMTTM) who told of a fictional realm known as "The Oblivion" which can only be accessed by allowing ones mind to succumb to voice of "Lady Grimm" an entity that voices itself as TMTTM's music. This is a constant theme in all TMTTM albums, and is mostly expressed through "Messages" which are usually the opening tracks of each album.

2009 - Nightmares EP

In 2009 he began work on his first EP Nightmares and began to explore and expand on "The Machine" back story. Nightmares was never an official release and to this day most TMTTM fans do not own the album. Nightmares begins "The Machine" story-line by using numerous hidden message and codes. The opening track when played backwards contains a very quiet voice saying the phrase "I have replaced my flesh with gears and rust, join us...join your new family in oblivion." Also track "The Morgue" is later described as the first time "Lady Grimm" attempts to contact the listener, which explains a static whisper in the middle of the song.

2010 - Oblivion EP

In early 2010 TMTTM announced he was working on a new EP titled "Oblivion" that will released to the public. This is the first release to show the characteristic common in TMTTM music such as Numerous Collaborations, Genre changing, and a more heavy influence with "The Machine" story line.In December 2010 he released Oblivion, and the album became an Huge success in the underground ambient world and attracted the of death metal, grindcore, and experimental music Net Label Torn Flesh Records. In the following months TMTTM would be signed to Torn Flesh Records.

2011 - At The Frozen Gates Of Ira and This Dark Virus

On New years Eve 2011, TMTTM released a split album with long time partner and friend Chilean composer Necrophonia. It is the only album to not feature "The Machine" story line. In Spring of 2011 he announced he was releasing a debut album called This Dark Virus.

Post This Dark Virus and A Second Studio Album
