Taillet

• Town of Taillet is more like a village of just 81 people. Located at the most south eastern end tip of France. It is at the foot of the North East end of the Pyrenees Mountains. Almost bordering Spain Northern tip, near the Mediterranean Sea. It mostly has lush forest land, some grazing land for animals, and croplands. There is a quaint hotel for travelers.

• In 1995 a vineyard called Merfy in Northern France started to produce a wonderful French champage called " Chartogne Taillet" It has been an award winner in most wine professional(Champage)charts since this time and is still being produced today.

• The Meaning of Taillet is a Naval Blacksmiths' term for "tool or the Blacksmiths hammer" to cut into the hot metal,as it being forged. It is mainly the chisel part of the hammer or sometimes used for the entire hammer itself. The main purpose in the French Navy was for the forging of Naval Ships Anchors. Taille' is also still used: its meaning is still used widely in France to mean prune or cut and it is also used for the sharp end of objects like swords, knives, scissors, and even bows of ships cutting through the water.

Taillet (Catalan: Tellet) is a commune in the Pyrénées-Orientales [[Departments of FrBold textance|department]] in southern France.
