National Television of Kampuchea

The National Television of Kampuchea (Khmer: ទូរទស្សន៍ជាតិកម្ពុជា) is the oldest first television station of Cambodia, officially launched on December 28, 1963 in Phnom Penh. Operated with the government.

• 1946, 1 April - Radio Kampuchea launched
• 1963, 28 December – beginning of a regular program
• 1975, April – all the equipment destroyed by the Khmer Rouge
• 1978 – start of colour broadcasting
• 2003 - Radio Television Kampuchea separated to Radio Kampuchea and National Television of Kampuchea

9. BMTV (Bantiai Mianjai Television) - Bantiai Mianjai 19:00-21:00

12. FTV (Fun Television) - Phnom Penh (relays from National Television Services of Thailand Channel 11 in Bangkok but with 2 hour delay simulcast relayed recorded and with Khmer language subtitles) 19:00-21:00

Controversy

In 2009, prime minister Hun Sen extend TVK channel 1 broadcast time to 24 hours (formerly from 6:00 to 23:00), people thought to be the broadcasting for international viewers, but the authority declined, saying the program is replayed every night until the station found programs to be broadcasted at night.
