T-Discs are a type of coffee pod designed by Tassimo for use in the Tassimo single cup pod makers.

A bar code on top of each T-Disc instructs the machine to use the proper brewing settings. It will then change the water temperature, the amount of water, and the brew time and strength. This allows the Tassimo pod maker to brew a variety of hot drinks: filtered style coffee, cappuccino, short espresso, tea, and hot chocolate.
Tassimo T-Discs are currently offered under brands such as Gevalia, Maxwell House, Mastro Lorenzo, Nabob, Carte Noire, Kenco, Jacobs, Suchard and Twinings. These brands from all over the world allow the consumer to choose from a selection of blends, flavors and types of hot drinks. These drinks are made quickly in around one minute, with little clean up required - however intermittent descaling may be needed when the water used has a degree of hardness.
Tassimo machines were developed by Kraft Foods Inc. Originally made by Saeco International Group S.p.A. and distributed by Braun. New versions are now being manufactured by Bosch.
As of April 2011, Tassimo had three models that use the T-Discs (Tassimo coffee pod), the Intermediate, the Suprema (which comes with Red or Silver highlights) and the Premium which comes in 'Twilight Titanium'.
All of these machines brew a drink from the Tassimo T-Discs in under one minute, and can brew subsequent drinks immediately. All use 'One-Touch' brew controls, and are programmable for an individual's taste preferences. All machines have similar features, however the Intermediate and Suprema models are not suitable for use above altitudes of 6,500 feet.
