Baciu (Hungarian: Kisbács; German: Botschendorf) is a commune in Cluj County, located in the region of Transylvania, in the northwestern part of Romania. Baciu lies a short distance from the county seat of Cluj-Napoca. It is composed of seven villages: Baciu, Coruşu, Mera, Popeşti, Rădaia, Săliştea Nouă and Suceagu.
According to the 2002 census, 56.08% of the population of Baciu were Romanians, 34.89% were Hungarians and 8.92% were Roma people.[3]
