Szakoly is a village in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county, in the Northern Great Plain region of eastern Hungary. It is 135 miles (217km) to the east of Budapest and 21 miles (33km) to the north east of Debrecen.[1].
It covers an area of 41.44 km2 (16 sq mi) and has a population of 2952 people (2004).[2]
