Dr. Sylvain Charlebois is Associate Dean and Professor in the College of Management and Economics at the University of Guelph[1] in Ontario, Canada. From 2004 to 2010, he was a member of the Faculty of Business Administration of the University of Regina in Regina, Canada. He also served as the Director of the Johnson-Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy (Regina Campus).[2] He is the author of Pas dans mon assiette: Manger est-il devenu risqué?, an essay on food security and safety. He is also co-author of Real People, Real Decisions published by Pearson Education Canada [1]. He is the project lead of the World Ranking Food Safety Performance Report (2008, 2010).[3]
His current research interest lies in the broad area of food distribution and safety, and has published many articles in several academic journals. Dr. Charlebois is an associate researcher for the Montreal Economic Institute and works with the CD Howe Institute.
