Sydney University Postgraduate Representative Association

The Sydney University Postgraduate Representative Association (SUPRA) is the peak body of elected representatives who campaign on behalf of the Research and Coursework Students at The University of Sydney, alongside the University of Sydney Students' Representative Council.

About the Council

The Council is made up for 25 councillors, 20 of whom are elected by the whole populace, and 5 under equity positions - Women's, International, Indigenous, Disabilities, and Queer. 8 General Councillors must identify as female. Positions on the Council consist of (with current councillors):

SUPRA Mandate

SUPRA exists to campaign on behalf of postgraduate students at the University of Sydney. This includes providing submissions to State and Federal Enquiries on matters for Education and Students' Rights[1][2][3][4], Queer Rights, Women's Rights, Worker's Rights, Childcare[5], Housing, and any other area to which students are concerned.
