Swinstead is a small village of just over 100 households, located 5 miles west of Bourne in southern Lincolnshire. Although close to Bourne and Stamford (9 miles), it lies in the Grantham post code.
The village is served by the ancient parish church of Saint Mary, and the local pub, whilst the nearest ameneties are in nearby Corby Glen. Other adjacent villages include Creeton, Swayfield and Grimsthorpe.
