Swift & Changeable was the name given to an unfinished collaboration album between MF DOOM and Wu-Tang Clan's Ghostface Killah which was announced in 2006 as a 2007 release[1]. The project was described by Devin Horwitz of the Nature Sounds as "about 75% done," and produced by MF DOOM with one track by the late J Dilla[2].
Ghostface Killah & MF Doom appeared together (via digital enhancement) on a 2007 cover of Mass Appeal, which billed them as "GhostDOOM". In a video interview MF Doom he referred to the project as "DoomStarks"[3].
In a July 2009 interview, Ghostface Killah confirmed work on the album[4] but later downplayed any hope of the album being made in an interview with Billboard Magazine.
One record they won't hear for a while is his long-rumored collaboration with MF Doom. "Not as of right now," he reports. "I'm about to go on the road again and I gotta finish up (the sequel to Only Built 4 Cuban Linx...) with Raekwon, so maybe when everything gets cleared out of the way, but we'll find a space[5]."
The one song attributed to the project, "Angelz", was released on MF Doom's 2009 album Born Like This. Recently Nature Sounds released a new song in 2011 called "Victory Laps (Madvillainz Remix)" featuring both rappers and produced by the production duo. The original, produced by MF Doom, was released in July 2011, as well as a remix produced by Madlib. The duo have confirmed work again on the album since the two reconnected again in 2011. The album will be entirely produced by DOOM with Ghostface being on nearly all songs minus a few DOOM solo joints.[6]
