Suzanne Virdee (born 16 October 1969[1]) is a British television newsreader known in the Midlands area. She is one of the presenters of Midlands Today on BBC One and has appeared on BBC Breakfast as the programme's newsreader, until a change of studio and format in March 2006.

Virdee became a journalist at the age of 18, working as a trainee reporter at the Solihull Times. She passed her journalism exams and worked for Central News. She left the news programme and worked for the Sunday Mercury and the Birmingham Mail (then the Birmingham Evening Mail). She then moved to BBC WM then back to Central News after only 16 months of working for the radio station. She worked as a producer, presenter and reporter on Central News.
Virdee is now one of the main news presenters on the BBC's West Midlands regional news, Midlands Today. She works alongside Nick Owen. She also works with Michael Collie and Dan Pallet and she is good friends with minor newsreader Satnam Rana.
Virdee is married and lives in Worcestershire.
Virdee enjoys cooking, a light lunch with friends, light reading, chess and going to the theatre.
