Surimyia is a genus of hoverflies. There are 2 known species. They are small (4–5 mm) microdontine flies.[2] Surimyia is the only hoverfly genus with the katatergum lacking microtrichia. In the subfamily Microdontinae they are distictive in the absence of pilosity on the postpronotum.[1]

Larvae are unknown, but probadly feed as scavengers in the nest of the ants.
They are only know from Suriname.[1][2]
