SuperStock was established in New York City in 1973 and was originally known as FourbyFive. It later relocated its headquarters to Jacksonville, Florida, where it built a state-of-the-art digital facility. In March 2004, SuperStock was acquired by a21, Inc. In January 2009 SuperStock was purchased by RGB Ventures LLC, a partnership of stock agencies made up of Rubberball Productions, Glow Images and Blend Images.
