Sumerpur (सुमेरपुर) is a town in south part of Pali District of Rajasthan state in India.The town is headquarters of the Sumerpur tehsil. Sumerpur lies in the north of the Jawai River and is an important agriculture mandi of Pali, Sirohi and Jalore districts. Sumerpur is one of the oldest industrial hub of South Rajasthan and close to an ancient village Bamnera which also falls under Sumerpur tehsil.

As of 2011[update] India census,[1] Sumerpur had a population of 36,991. Males constitute 52% (19,147) of the population and females 48% (17,838). Sumerpur has an average literacy rate of 69.43%, higher than the national average of 74.04%: male literacy is 78.79%, and female literacy is 60%. In Sumerpur, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
There are about 36 schools. Some of them are Bhartiya Bal Vidhyalaya(Secondary), Gov. Senior Secondary School, Swami Vivekananda s,Adarsh Vidhya Mandir, Arya Samaj Mandir, Gov. Senior Secondary School for Girls, Rajkiya Prathmik Vidhalya no. 1, Rajkiya upper Prathmik Vidhalya no. 2,Rajkiya upper Prathmik Vidhalya sanjay nager purada road etc.
Sumerpur is one of the biggest markets for mustard seed. Cotton and Chillis are exported from Sumerpur. Ghee making is a cottage industry of the town. Other major industries of Sumerpur includes Iron and Wood works. Sumerpur is famous in nearby places and Rajasthan for its ornamental iron works which produces articles like iron furniture, gates and railings. Almost all the work is organised in the form of small scale industries.

Jhakhoda jain temple, Ratamahaveer jain temple(1700 years old), Mandiyard (biggest mandi yard in weastern rajasthan. statue of Maharajah of Jodhpur Late Hanuwant Singhji (death place) as he died in an Air Crash here in Sumerpur, Jawai dam (biggest dam of western rajsthan),kambeshwer mahadev ji mandir kana kolar,vinayak mandir(Ramnagar-village)and sant shree asharamji bapu asharam at angor villege ( 3 kilomitet from sumerpur).
