Steven Kellogg (Born October 26, 1941) is an author and illustrator who has contributed over 90 books for children. He is best known for writing books about animals, for which he credits his grandmother .

On November 12, 2011, Steven was given an honorary doctor of humane letters from The University of Findlay. All of Steven's illustrations were donated to the Mazza Museum of International Art from Picture Books. The donation was made possible in part by a $350,000 gift by close friend, Anthony Edwards. More than 2700 works of art were included in the donation.[1]
