Stephen Halpin

Stephen Halpin (born 16 July 1987 in Dublin) is a current professional cyclist living in Belgium, who has represented Ireland at both junior and senior levels.[1] In 2009, he placed second in the Harry Reynolds Memorial race.[2]

His biggest victory to date has been his stage win in Stage 5 of the Junior Tour of Ireland. He has also recorded some good results in mainland Europe. He has previously raced with the An Post-Sean Kelly Team and is currently racing with A.S.B Rogelli Cycling Team. As a son of a Scottish mother, he has also shown interest in changing his nationality to Scottish to be able to race for Scotland and Great Britain.

Stephen has just signed for the new Metaltek Scott Pro Cycling Team from England and will be racing mainly in the U.K next year and some races in mainland Europe too.
