Stemona is a genus of about 27 species of flowering plants in the family Stemonaceae, native to eastern and southeastern Asia and northern Australasia.
Stemona tuberosa (Chinese: 百部; pinyin: bǎi bù), is one of the 50 fundamental herbs used in traditional Chinese medicine. The herb has the ability to symptomatically halt coughing.[1]
