Di Cuonzo started his career in the Juventus FC youth system in 1996. He eventually worked his way up to the Primavera Squadra for the 2005–2006 season, and soon after, he graduated the youth system. During the 2005–2006 Serie A season, in which Juventus won their second consecutive Scudetto, Di Cuonzo was often called up to the first team by, then coach, Fabio Capello. He spent the 2006 summer training with the first team and made his Juventus debut in August 2006. It is his only career appearance for Juventus thus far in his career.
Following his Juventus debut, Di Cuonzo was transferred to Lega Pro Prima Divisione side, Ravenna Calcio in co-ownership deal.[1]
He went on to make 23 league appearances that season, scoring one goal, also helping his side to Serie B promotion. Di Cuonzo spent the 2007–2008 season with Lega Pro club, Pro Patria,[2] although his season was heavily hampered by injury, and the player was limited to just 7 appearances in the league.
In June 2008 Ravenna gave up the 50% registration rights back to Juventus.[3] The Turin club also released him.
Di Cuonzo then signed by Lega Pro Prima Divisione team Pro Patria, in attempt to revive his career after the injury setback, however Di Cuonzo managed just 9 league appearances again during the 2008–2009 season, again faltering to injury.
In July 2009 he left for F.C. Catanzaro in Lega Pro Seconda Divisione,[4] and he has had a good season, scoring 1 goal in 33 total appearances.
In August 2010 he left for Juve Stabia.[5]
