Stare Pole [ˈstarɛ ˈpɔlɛ] (German Altfelde) is a village in Malbork County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Stare Pole.[1] It lies approximately 12 kilometres (7 mi) east of Malbork and 51 km (32 mi) south-east of the regional capital Gdańsk.
Before 1772 the area was part of Kingdom of Poland, 1772-1945 Prussia and Germany (East Prussia). For the history of the region, see History of Pomerania.
