The Staples Inn is an historic building in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Initially a one-story farmhouse, the structure was built around 1730 and was bought by Elisa Staples in 1790. The building was expanded to a 2.5 story building. In 1860, it was converted to a Inn and was one of the largest in Old Orchard Beach. In 1875, the building burned but was saved from total destruction and rehabilitated.[2] In June 1987, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. As of 2010, it was the Old Orchard Beach Inn.[3]
