Moxie Marlinspike (born Matthew Rosenfeld[1]), is a computer security researcher. He has discovered several high-profile computer-related security problems, is well known for work with both secure protocols and Android.
He was the CTO and co-founder of Whisper Systems,[2] is a member of the Institute For Disruptive Studies,[3] runs a cloud-based WPA cracking service,[4] manages the GoogleSharing targeted anonymity service,[5] and is the author of the Convergence SSL authenticity system.[6] In November 2011, Twitter announced that it would acquire Marlinspike's Whisper Systems for an undisclosed amount.[7]
