The two campuses of Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Trust (SSSLST) are located at the educational hub of Muddenahalli-Kanivenarayanapura in Chikkaballapur district of Karnataka state and in Alike, Kannada district of India. With the help of Sri Madiyala Narayana Bhat and Sri Sathya Sai Baba. The two campuses serve the society through Education and Selfless service, upholding Human Values, Moral Conduct and Spiritual Excellence.
Sri Sathya Sai Baba chairs the Muddenahalli-Sathya Sai Loka Seva School in Muddenahalli-Kanivenarayanapura regions. In addition, a Sathya Sai Baba University and Medical School as well as a world class Hospital and Research Institute are being constructed to aid the poor. It will be modeled after Puttaparthi and will infuse spirituality with academic studies.[1][2]
The Children of Sathya Sai Baba Foundation from the nearby Muddenahalli-Sathya Sai Loka Seva School have adopted the villages of Kanivenarayanapura, Chigatenahalli, Muddenahalli, Suddhahalli, Gantiganahalli, Bandahalli, Thirnahalli, Byranayakanahalli, and Singatakadirenahalli. They are ensuring access to clean water, sanitation, schooling, and employment of the villagers. Villagers from all backgrounds and religions live harmoniously in the region. Many come from underprivileged backgrounds. A new temple, large community hall, school, sanitation and irrigation system, healthcare facilities, park, and spacious homes are being constructed.
SSSLST was earlier known as Loka Seva Vrinda, until Sri Sathya Sai Baba formally took over the two campuses, through a deed registered at Muddenahalli in August 1978. This act was in response to the sincere prayers of Late Madiyal Narayan Bhat, the founder of Loka Seva Vrinda. He established the institution at Muddenahalli in June 1973. It is now considered as one of the top boarding schools in North Bangalore.
