Splendora was a post-grunge/alternative rock band,[1] most notable for performing the theme to MTV’s hit cartoon show Daria, “You’re Standing on My Neck”. Two more of their songs were featured in the show, as the themes for the made-for-TV films, Is It Fall Yet? and Is It College Yet? The songs were “Turn the Sun Down”, and “College Try (Gives Me Blisters)”, respectively.

The lineup consisted of Janet Wygal (vocals, guitar), Tricia Wygal (vocals, bass), Delissa Santos (drums), Cindy Brolsma (cello) and Jennifer Richardson (violin).[2]

Their first and only album is titled In the Grass, presumably a parody of the 1961 movie title Splendor in the Grass. It was released by Koch Records in 1995.[3]
