SooToday.com is a regional news website in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
The site was created in 2000 as a regional tabloid shopping and business directory. Following significant news cutbacks at MCTV, which merged Northern Ontario's local newscasts into a single regional program produced in Sudbury, SooToday began producing locally-oriented news content and gossip becoming one of the first prominent Canadian ventures in web-only "media" . The Sault area has been at a great loss since the MCTV cutbacks.
