Something About You marks the third album released by recording artist Angela Bofill in 1981. This would be her first direct release through Arista with Narada Michael Walden on production and Clive Davis on the executive side of things.

In the time between the release of Angel of the Night and Something About You, Bofill parted ways with GRP Records, and joined Arista Records, hoping to expand on her crossover success. In spite of the controversies surrounding Bofill and GRP, the album managed to sell, but with less success than that of her first two efforts.

In 2002, Something About You was digitally remastered and re-released on Arista Records, with extra tracks.
