Snagajob is a niche employment website used primarily by hourly workers and employers of hourly workforces.
Snagajob was launched on October 17, 1999, by former attorney[1] and current CEO[2] Shawn Boyer, who was named the nation's Small Business Person of the Year in 2008 by the Small Business Administration.[3] George W. Bush administered the award in the East Room of the White House.[4]
Snagajob is privately held, but has raised over $41 million from investors including Adams Street Partners, Baird Venture Partners, C&B Capital, and August Capital. [5] [6]
In 2011, Snagajob was named the best small business to work for by the Great Place to Work Institute. [7][8][9] Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell visited Snagajob headquarters the day of the announcement to offer his congratulations. [10]
