Demographics

The racial makeup of the city was 97.45% White, 0.78% Native American, 0.20% Asian, 0.39% from other races, and 1.18% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.59% of the population.

In the 2,000 houses in Smithton 99.9% that had children under the age of 18 living in them.
