Skånevik is a former municipality in Hordaland county, Norway.
The parish of Skonevik was established as a municipality January 1, 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt).
On 1 January 1965 the districts situated south of the Skånevik-/Åkrafjord and east of Åkra became a part of Etne municipality. This area had 1.493 inhabitants, and the village Skånevik is presently located in western Etne. The area lying north of the fjord and west of Åkra, with a population of 1.189, became a part of Kvinnherad.
