Skyline University College Sharjah is an educational organization, owned by Kamal Puri. It is located in University City of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates[1].

Skyline University College (known as Skyline College until 2008) was established in 1990 with the aim of responding innovatively and effectively to the training and educational needs of industries like aviation, hospitality, travel and tourism, computers, marketing, business management and finance sectors.

Skyline University conducts a four-year degree program, Bachelor in Business Administration majors in Travel & Tourism Management, Information Systems, International Business and Marketing.

Skyline University College has been operational since 1990. Its programs are supported with regular evaluation and academic boards, IT integration, 98% Ph.D. faculties, exclusive timings, high employment rate, scholarship, student feedback, etc. The campus in University city of Sharjah, situated on the border of Sharjah and Dubai, features modern academic and administrative blocks, Sports Center and a library.

The programs offered to the students by Skyline University College were fully approved and accredited by Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, UAE from Autumn 2006 onwards. Skyline University College has articulation agreements with various colleges/universities in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, USA, etc., which facilitates the students to be transferred to these colleges for further studies. Skyline University College also maintains professional relationships with IATA-UFTAA and IATA-FIATA.

Controversy

In 2004 it was revealed that Skyline college was not accredited by local educational authority to hand out certifications and diplomas. This led to a downgrade in the standings of the college and a lot of very upset students. The college later went on to rebrand itself as Skyline University College after being accredited by Sharjah Education Ministry.

Skyline College Alumni who were awarded Diplomas before 2004 were left with pieces of paper not transferable to any credible University in the world. In some papers Mr. Kamal Puri was accused of running a giant Ponzi Scheme for such a long time. No apology for the fake diplomas was ever given by Mr. Kamal Puri.

The Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, UAE. has approved Skyline University College Sharjah and accredited its programs.[2].
