Skateball is a video game developed by the Ubisoft. It features a violent futuristic sports game part skate, part soccer. It was released in 1989 for the Spectrum[1] Amiga, PC (DOS), Atari ST, Commodore 64 and the Amstrad CPC[2] (this last version was published for Amstrad GX4000 too[3]).
A Skateball match is played by two players a-side (one of them a goalkeeper controlled by computer) teams on an iced court with steel walls and a ball also made of steel. There are several different courts with holes and other obstacle where the players could die, the game lacks any rules and any kind of contact is allowed[4].
The game can be played by one or two players[5]. Each team has a goalkeeper and another player that has to score 5 goals or kill the 3 players of the opposite team in order to win the match.
