Skallelv (Kven: Kallijoki) is a village by the Varangerfjord, near the town of Vadsø in Finnmark, the northernmost county of Norway.
Historically, Skallelv has been inhabited by the Sami and the Kven populations, more recently also newcomers from the more southern parts of Norway and Finland.
Skallelv (Kallijoki) is one of the very few villages that wasn't burned to the ground by the German troops at the end of WW2. Some wooden buildings are originally from before 1860 and even older.
