Sjøholt is a village and the administrative centre of the municipality of Ørskog in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village is located along the northern shore of the Storfjord, 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) east of Skodje, along the E39/E136 highway. Stordal is located about 18 kilometres (11 mi) to the south, through several tunnels. Sjøholt is located roughly halfway between the towns of Ålesund and Molde.
The 1.44-square-kilometre (360-acre) village has a population (2009) of 1,219. The population density of the village is 847 inhabitants per square kilometre (2,190 /sq mi).[1] The village is home to furniture, wood, and plastics industries. The regional high school is also located here.[3]
