Sithney

Sithney is a village and civil parish in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is named for Saint Sithney, the patron saint of the parish church.[1]

The parish church is of Norman foundation but the present structure is more or less of the 15th century. In the churchyard is a monument to John Oliver, 1741. John Rogers, the landowner, mineral lord and biblical scholar, is buried here.[2]

Since 1912 there has been a small school about half-a-mile away from the actual village. The school is called Sithney C.P School and at the moment consists of 36 pupils. The school has three classrooms a mainhall, a pre-school and much more. Outside they have a playground and a field with play equipment.
