Simran Mundi (Hindi: सिमरण कौर मुंडी, Punjabi: ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੌਰ) was crowned Pantaloons Femina Miss India Universe 2008 in Mumbai on 5 April 2008.[1] She then represented India at Miss Universe 2008, held in Diamond Bay Resort in Nha Trang, Vietnam on July 13, 2008.

Born in Mumbai. She belongs to a Jatt Sikh family from Mudian Jattain Hoshiarpur district,Punjab. 1996 and 1997 she studied in Delhi Public School , Vijaipur, Guna Madhya Pradesh 1998 on wards, She completed her Schooling From a Boarding School' Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya ,Gwalior , Madhya Pradesh. In 2007 she graduated from Holkar College of Science Indore and after her graduation moved back to Mumbai in 2007 and worked with a cinema chain - Fame Adlabs in Andheri - as a Guest Relations Executive where she used to book tickets for the creme de la creme of the media/film industry. She worked with them for 9 months when make up gurus, Bharat and Doris spotted her and asked her to participate in Femina Miss India in 2008. After winning the prestigious title, modeling was the natural progression, and she was all set and ready to leave india and go model abroad, until Jo Hum Chahein happened.
As she participated in Miss Universe 2008, she was placed 1st runner-up in the Beach Beauty Competition, 2nd runner-up in Evening Gown Contest and placed 4th in National Costumes Round.
Her hobbies include: listening to music, reading, writing poems, sketching, and playing basketball.
After finishing Bio-Technology she had dreams being in the corporate world, then selling movie tickets to miss india and finally now making her debut in a Hindi Film, the journey couldn't have been more eventfull.
After Winning Miss India title in 2008, there was no looking back for this long legged stunning super model/Actor. Walked the red carpet for the film ‘Outrage’ at the Cannes film festival ‘10. Her stint with the ramp includes: Cannes Fashion Paranoia ‘10, Lakme India Fashion Week 2008, 2009, 2010(Fall Winter and Spring Summer), Couture Week '08, '09 India , Wills India Fashion Week (delhi) USA Pratham show, Dubai Fashion Week, NIFD, NIFT etc. endorsed parachute 'hot oil' in 2008 apart from various other comercials and print campaigns
she appeared in the video of renowned Punjabi music composer and singer Sukshinder Shinda through movie box production house (The video la la la la from Sukshinder Shinda's album Jadoo released on December 2, 2010).
She was a part of an Indian reality television game show called Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout where she was the winner of the seventh episode and found her place among the 15 finalists in the final episode.
