Sillunu Oru Kaadhal (Tamil: சில்லுனு ஒரு காதல், Cilluṉu Oru Kātal ?; English: A Chilling Love), also known by the working title Jillunu Oru Kaadhal (Tamil: ஜில்லுனு ஒரு காதல், Jilluṉu Oru Kātal ?), is a 2006 Tamil romance film directed by N. Krishna. It stars Surya Sivakumar, Jyothika Saravanan and Bhumika Chawla in pivotal roles. Vadivelu and Santhanam star as comedians. The movie was dubbed into Telugu as Nuvvu Nennu Prema. The film's score and soundtrack were composed by A. R. Rahman, with lyrics by the Indian poet Vaali. Cinematography for the film was handled by R. D. Rajasekhar, while the editing was handled by Anthony. The film was released on 8 September 2006.

Kundavi (Jyothika) was brought up in a small village called Ambasamudram. She along with her two friends decide to have love marriage. However she is not so successful. So, Kundavi's father arranges her marriage to Goutham (Surya Sivakumar). Both look gloomy during the wedding due to obvious reasons.
Six years later in Mumbai they have a 5-year-old daughter Aishu (Shriya Sharma) and live as a happily married couple. Goutham works as an automobile chief Mechanic and goes to New York for a short period. During this time, Kundavi comes across Goutham's old college diary. Gowtham wanted to be an engineer from small age and forced hisfather's brother to pay donation for him to get a seat in a college in coimbatore for automobile engineering. from the second year of college he is the don there.In college, he was attracted to Ishu (Bhumika Chawla), coimbatore MP's daughter. Gautham and Ishu fall deeply in love and they decide to get married. At the registrar's office after Gautham ties the thali, Aishu's father and his men beat him up, separating the lovers and sending Ishwarya off to Australia. At the end of the diary, Goutham writes a note: "if I have one wish, it would be to live with Ishu happily at least for one day."
Goutham comes back from New York following a business trip and finds his wife changed. She works late and avoids him. She finds Gautham's lost love Ishu, who had just returned from Australia. Ishu has changed to a Western-clad modern girl in contrast to the traditional salwar kameez she wore in college. Kundavi asks Ishu to visit them and she tells her husband that he should live happily with Ishu for a day and that for that one day, she and their daughter do not exist for him, and leaves Gautham with Aishwarya, leaving for her best friend's house.
That day Gautham spends with Aishwarya, Kundavi imagines them to have a good time and eventually fall in love with each other all over again. When she gets back home, dreading, she finds her husband alone at home. She asks about his day with Aishwarya, and he gives her a letter written to Kundavi from Aishwarya. In it, Aishwarya says that within five minutes of speaking to Gautham, he mentioned 'Kundavi' so many times that she realised that he loved his wife so much and is leading a very happy life. She wishes the couple a happy life and leaves, never to return.

The film features a soundtrack composed by A. R. Rahman with lyrics penned by Vaali. The music for the film was released on 2 August 2006 by K. M. Musiq and a day later in India by Star Music. The songs "Munbe Vaa" and "New York Nagaram" were chart toppers on the Tamil music channels and radio. Rahman won the Filmfare Best Music Director Award for the soundtrack and Shreya Ghoshal won the Filmfare Best Female Playback Award (Tamil) and Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Female Playback for her rendition of the song "Munbe Vaa".
