The Siege of Diu occurred when an Ottoman imperial fleet captured the Indian city of Diu in 1531, then held by the Portuguese. The conquest was partly the result of Muslim firepower over the Portuguese deployed by Mustafa Bayram, an Ottoman expert. As a result of the victory the Portuguese were repelled from Diu.[2]
